Some snow couloir and slopes lean to the gneiss tower of the central summit. Photos
In spring do what you want : climb at high altitude, ski, or climb on rock… This summit is 3535m high, we climbed up a snow couloir, continued on a ridge, went down on an other snowy and rocky ridge. Pics
Eric and David were selected among a team to climb the summit for the 50th birthday of their company. To conclude a serious training, we appreciated dry conditions up to the hut, then well tracked snow on the glacier. Pics
The Chamonix weather forecast was looking a bit delicate for the afternoon. Erik chose a discovery route in Argentieres basin. We enjoyed the sun for a couple of hours, and had snow falls after the abseils. Pics
This route constitutes a training on snow, ice and rock climbing, as well as abseiling and rope techniques. Photos here.
We approached the hut in Tre-la-Tete basin with rain yesterday, good for the mushrooms, last pic, and good for testing the motivation. The weather finally turned very sunny today, and the glacier was covered with fresh snow.
